VOLUNTEER ENGINEER TEACHERS

Join Engineers Alliance for the Arts and fellow structural engineers in this
remarkable project that changes lives. 

  • Make a direct impact in local high school
  • Teachfundamental structural engineering principles in the
    context of a modelbridge design
  • Teams of four engineers
  • Allmaterials are provided
  • Lead engineers organize each team

Volunteers are requested to:

  • Teach one 90 minute-2-hour classroom session per week
    for six to eight weeks, with a team of other
    engineers starting in early February. (One hour
    transportation to and from class).
  • Commit to 0.5 hours of preparation per week.
  • Attend a 2-hour volunteer orientation in late
    January.
  • Attend the final awards event (early/mid-April)
