2010 Student Impact Project & Awards Event
EAA’s 2010 Student Impact Project Awards Event was held on Saturday, April 24 at PG&E Auditorium in San Francisco. Nearly 150 students (29 teams) completed an eight-week course taught by Bay Area volunteer structural engineers at five participating high schools. Their resulting model bridges – made from foam board, string, ping pong balls, pins and glue – were judged on a combination of viability, inventive design, appearance, construction and oral presentations.
Thank you to all of the teachers, students, volunteer engineers and judges who participated in this year’s program. Special congratulations to all of the winning teams!
